Volvo Car Corporation, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556074-3089 with address 405 31, Göteborg, Sweden, hereinafter referred to as “ VCC ”, “ we ”, “ our ” and “ us ”, will as controller process your personal data as described below.

 

Purpose and legal basis for processing

We process the personal data that you provide in connection with your competence development within VCC.  The purpose of our processing is to manage (schedule, book & follow up) training courses; and to communicate updates related to your training, performance and certification. Furthermore, it may also be used for providing you access to relevant product information in our Technical Reference Information Portal (TRIP) if you are a user of that system, as well as other supporting platforms for training purposes and for statistical purposes. The personal data that VCC will store are the following: first name, surname, login name, certification history (pass/not pass), e-mail address, dealer name, job role and preferred language.  

The legal basis for our process as described above is our legitimate interest to fulfil the contract that we have with your employer in regards to providing training courses, relevant product information (TRIP) and to further develop the competence with the people that we work together with.

 

Disclosure / Recipients of your personal data

Your personal data will be disclosed to and processed by the master trainer, course developer and admin resource as well as your manager/employer. Your personal data will also be disclosed to and processed by our service provider who work on our behalf to fulfill the above purposes. For service providers outside of the EEA any transfer of your personal data will be made with the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

 

Retention time

We will retain your personal data until the training course is deleted from our learning catalogue or at the latest up to five (5) years after your account has been inactivated. Thereafter, your personal data will be anonymized (meaning the removal of all personal information) and the information will be used for statistical purposes.
